TEMPORARY DISABILITY - DUES REIMBURSEMENT

On June 14, 2004, a motion was made, seconded, and approved (M/S/A) that any member in good standing temporarily or permanently disabled longer than 30 days (1 month) will be exempt from monthly dues payment for a time period of up to three months.  The member must provide proof of disability from their doctor.  This will only be paid once in a 12 month period per member.

On June 9, 2009, a motion was made, seconded, and approved to amend Local 330’s policy on temporary disability dues reimbursement to now pick up to 6 months of disability dues in a 12 month period rather than 3 months dues.

JURY DUTY

On July 13, 2004, a motion was M/S/A to pay active members in good standing on Jury Duty $25.00 for a full day or $12.50 for a half day.   A receipt from the courthouse must be submitted to our office for payment. This payment is null if the member is already affected by separate contract language or is not currently working at the calling.

ASBESTOS CERTIFICATIONS

On July 13, 2004, a motion was M/S/A to pay all Asbestos Certifications and Refresher fees.

WELDING CERTIFICATIONS

On July 13, 2004, a motion was M/S/A to pay for Certification of Welding with proof of passing. Training can be obtained wherever the member chooses; however, Local 330 will reimburse the member for the certification fee only.

On December 11, 2007, a motion was M/S/A to pay for Certification of Welding with proof of passing. Training can be obtained wherever the member chooses; however, Local 330 will reimburse the member for the certification fee only up to a maximum of $300.00.

On April 9, 2013, a motion was M/S/A to increase amount to be reimbursed to the member for the cost of the certification fee up to a maximum of $500.00 with proof of a passing score.

On November 11, 2014, a motion was M/S/A that Local 330 will not pay for failed certification fees. Local #330 shall pay one welding certification per member, per year, up to $500, with proof of passing.

RETIREES’ MONTHLY DUES DEDUCTION

On July 13, 2004, a motion was M/S/A to give retirees the option to have monthly dues deducted from their monthly pension check from the Wisconsin Laborers’ Pension Fund.

FUNERAL POLICY

On July 12, 2005, a motion was M/S/A to amend the funeral gratuity policy to read as follows: “Members in good standing of Laborers’ Local 330 who suffer a death in their family will receive funeral pay of $25.00 per day for up to three days and must furnish the office of Local 330 with satisfactory proof.   The funeral payment is as follows: up to three days ($75.00) for the death of a member’s spouse, brother or sister, parent, or children related by blood or marriage. This payment will be null if the member is already affected by separate contract language or not currently working at the calling.   The member must contact the office of Local 330.   One day ($25.00) will be paid for the member’s mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, or maternal or paternal grandparent. Proof of relationship must be provided in all cases”.   This payment is null if the member is already affected by separate contract language or is not currently working at the calling.

DEATH BENEFIT/MEMORIAL FUND POLICY (updated 11/13/07)

On August 10, 2004, a motion was M/S/A to add a death benefit/memorial fund policy for members of Local 330 who pass away. The amount of $150.00 will include flowers, a bible, and/or a check.   On November 13, 2007, motion was M/S/A to increase our Local Death Benefit/Memorial Fund Policy from $150 to $200.

SCHOLARSHIP POLICY updated 12/14/2010

On August 10, 2004, a motion was M/S/A to add a policy for scholarships for a member, spouse, or dependent child (by birth or marriage) of Laborers’ Local 330 who are attending a full-time College, University or Technical School carrying at least 12 credits per semester.   Four scholarships will be awarded each year at $500.00 each.   Interested applicants must request an application to submit along with a bio to our office in order to be considered.   Applicants can only be awarded a scholarship one time from Local 330.   Applicants must maintain a C (2.0) grade point average.   In order for the selected applicants to receive their scholarship, proof of enrollment and grades must be furnished upon completion of the first semester. On December 14, 2010, motion was M/S/A to increase the dollar amount of the four (4) scholarships from $500 to $1000 each.

50 YEAR MEMBERS POLICY

On August 10, 2004, a motion was M/S/A to add a policy for awards to 50 year members. Local 330 will purchase a jacket and a watch for all 50 year members.

30 DAY CALL IN POLICY

On September 13, 2005, the following Referral Policy was approved:

“Effective November 30, 2005, members of Local 330 must register their availability for referral every 30 days in accordance with Local 330’s written policy. Failure to do so will drop the member to a miscellaneous list until the member notifies our office of their availability.”

HANDBILLING / PICKETING

On January 10, 2006, a motion was M/S/A to pay handbillers and picketers $10 per hour expense.

JACKET POLICY

On November 14, 2006, a motion was made, seconded, and approved to make it a policy of Local 330 to purchase a jacket for all Agents & Stewards that have been on the job for more than 6 months.

MEALS FOR TRAINING CLASSES

On March 11, 2008, a motion was made, seconded, and approved to make it a policy of Local 330 to provide meals for all Training Classes sponsored by Local 330.
